The Senate Finance Committee will be taking public comment TODAY, March 6th on the Committee Substitute for Senate Bill 21, the governor¹s proposed oil productive tax reform bill. The statewide hearing will occur between 3:00 and 6:00 pm at your local Legislative Information Office. Comments should be limited to two minutes.
We testified at an earlier Senate Resources Committee hearing and would encourage Alaska readers to weigh in today in order to reflect strong support before Senate Finance. It is important to maintain momentum, and this committee must hear from Alaskans on how vital it is to reform Alaska’s predatory oil tax policy this session.
