ALEXEY KOVSHIN APPOINTED AS VICE PRESIDENT OF VAN MEURS CORPORATION
This is to announce that Alexey Kovshin has been appointed as Vice President of Van Meurs Corporation Group.

Alexey is an oil and gas fiscal expert advising governments and national oil companies on a wide range of fiscal policy issues.  Alexey’s background is oil and gas taxation and upstream economics and he has more than nine years of experience with Ernst & Young as oil and gas fiscal expert, working in Moscow and Dubai.  He has worked on numerous projects advising governments and companies on fiscal policy issues, and recent examples include projects relating to Somalia, China, Russia, Colombia, Romania and Lebanon.  Alexey also provided in-house trainings and performed multi-client studies.  Alexey is a Russian national and speaks English and Russian.

Alexey made major contributions to our multi-client study World Rating of Oil and Gas Terms (2011-2013).  This is still the most comprehensive study of oil and gas fiscal systems available in the world, comparing 580 fiscal systems in 156 countries.

Alexey will be responsible for further improving and expanding the services available on our Petrocash service.   This includes our Petrocash Fiscal Service based on the World Fiscal Model allowing undertake analysis of all petroleum fiscal systems in the world.  Furthermore, Petrocash includes searchable electronic database of almost 4,000 oil and gas laws, regulations and contracts.  Alexey will provide the Van Meurs Corporation training courses with special emphasis on providing these courses in Russian in FSU and Russia and well as offering new courses.  Alexey will also participate in the consulting services of the Van Meurs group of companies.  We have provided these services to more than 80 governments over the lasts 43 years.
