5-25-14 Government Decisions Matter

Sunday, Post Church Service Commentary: Dr. Charles Stanley (www.intouch.org, NGP Photo) gently reminds us that our actions have consequences and that we reap, "what we sow, more than we sow and later than we sow."  We include this reference not to suggest that decision makers are bad or good people, but to emphasize the principle that actions have consequences. Today's posting is for the benefit of Alaskan and Canadian decision makers who have said, "This is where the oil is; a tax or regulatory increase won't stop those oil companies. [...]

5-24-14 Memorial Day Weekend

The Glory of Their Deeds Chester Nimitz and William "Bull" Halsey are more familiar names, but the truth is neither one of them was as highly decorated as Eugene B. Fluckey. Before Japan surrendered, "Lucky Fluckey," as he was known, received numerous medals including four Navy Crosses, the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, and the highest decoration of them all, the Medal of Honor. As the commander of the U.S.S. Barb, Fluckey and his crew sank 29 vessels, including an aircraft carrier, while surviving an estimated 400 shells, [...]

5-21-14 BREAKING NEWS: “Hollywood & Washington” Use “Smoke and Mirrors” To Fight US Energy Independence

We Provide For Readers and Our Archives This Breaking News Evidence Of The Enviro-Industrial-Governmental Cabal. Commentary By Dave Harbour Here is more evidence, a VeritasVisuals video released yesterday, that environmental activists, Hollywood (NGP Photo) entertainment industry producers and actors and Washington (NGP Photo) work together to end "... American energy independence", "Fracking", and "Keystone XL Pipeline" endeavors. It will be interesting to see whether or not national news media employees ( i.e. who are not necessarily fact oriented 'journalists') and columnists cover this dramatic example of what some tribunals might label "treasonous behavior" or [...]

5-19-14 Public – Private Gas Pipelines

Calgary Herald by Dan Healing.   It’s a classic case of too much of a good thing.  Burgeoning liquids-rich gas production in west central Alberta has overwhelmed the ability of gas plants to process the growing stream, Calgary producers warn, leading to lower production forecasts.   Brief Commentary, "Public - Private Gas Pipelines": We contrast three public-private gas pipeline projects, two of which are linked below, from weekend news reports/commentary.  As time goes on, we'll hear much more about these and other projects.  They cannot be precisely compared, in part [...]

5-13-14 Hanging In There Together

“Let’s Hang In There Together” by Dave Harbour At the signing of the Declaration of Independence – in the face of political oppression -- founding father Benjamin Franklin urged his fellow countrymen to, “…all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” See last week's report and photos: Alaska Mining Day! Today, the enemy of freedom and economic stability – as we have demonstrated – is a dedicated enviro-industrial-governmental cabal perhaps more menacing than King George’s foot guards, fusiliers  and lancers.  Why is this so? Today's Wall Street Journal Joins [...]
