CLIMATE CHANGE HOAX EXPOSED AGAIN

(We say, “again”, because we documented it is a hoax designed to ‘Kill Capitalism’!)

Mail OnLine: Exposed: How world leaders were duped into investing billions over manipulated global warming data

  • The Mail on Sunday can reveal a landmark paper exaggerated global warming
  • It was rushed through and timed to influence the Paris agreement on climate change
  • America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration broke its own rules
  • The report claimed the pause in global warming never existed, but it was based on misleading, ‘unverified’ data

The Mail on Sunday today reveals astonishing evidence that the organisation that is the world’s leading source of climate data rushed to publish a landmark paper that exaggerated global warming and was timed to influence the historic Paris Agreement on climate change.

A high-level whistleblower has told this newspaper that America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) breached its own rules on scientific integrity when it published the sensational but flawed report, aimed at making the maximum possible impact on world leaders including Barack Obama and David Cameron at the UN climate conference in Paris in 2015.

The report claimed that the ‘pause’ or ‘slowdown’ in global warming in the period since 1998 – revealed by UN scientists in 2013 – never existed, and that….  (Read full story here.)

2017 AEDC Economic Forecast Luncheon: business and consumer optimism is positive but fragile. The future rests on, solving the state’s fiscal crisis, improving Anchorage’s foundations, laying out a plan to exand our economy, and stable oil prices and higher production.

Walker, House Dems aim to put climate policy back on the table
Climate change has always been a sticky issue for Alaska policymakers

Our comment: Following up on yesterday’s column, we believe that someone is “fiddling while Rome burns”.  If Alaska’s governor cared about the future of his citizens, he would focus on his state’s fiscal crisis that threatens to turn the “Last Frontier” into the “Paupers’ Welfare State”.

Today (see headline link), we see him focusing on how to provide federal funds (taxpayer dollars) to special interests who chose to live near the ocean where winter tides always cause occasional erosion, havoc, panic and property loss.  Of course, the rational is the “climate change” hoax…which substitutes for personal responsibility…which subsitutes for rational federal funding justification.

Instead of focusing on how to cut spending and develop a sustainable budget, he also focuses on spending the last of the state’s available dollars on faux pipeline offices in Houston and Tokyo, staffed with very highly compensated government bureaucrats charged with marketing the state’s current unmarketable Alaska North Slope gas.   That rich, 35 tcf of gas is currently uneconomic because current LNG demand is being satisfied by competitive world gas producers whose prices are much lower than Alaska could offer.  Alaska’s prices tend to be high because — unlike most competing areas — it must fold scores of billions of expense dollars into the price of an 800 mile gas pipeline.  That currently uneconomic pipeline would transport Prudhoe Bay gas to tidewater for conversion to LNG, allowing further cryogenic LNG tanker transport to Asian markets.

The governor should be dealing with an out-of-control-budget, and contemplating the source of the $3-4 billion subsidy he needs annually to protect public sector jobs and his liberal constituency dependent on public funding.

Instead he supports budget increases.  Increases for a room full of $100k/year+ crony consultants.  Public money for building a big, bureaucratically controlled Fairbanks natural gas utility.  Now we hear that, while he promised two years ago that his new Medicaid expansion would not burden the state with a new expense, that welfare program expansion will significantly add to his state’s budget deficit.

The Legislature, too, is plagued with “shiny objects” to deflect attention away from its own profligate spending and lack of overall operating and entitlement budget cuts leading to a balanced budget.

Yes, instead of chasing new ways to spend and avoiding ways to cut the bureaucracy, elected leaders should focus on 1) cutting the unsustainable operating and entitlement burdens on state government, and 2) rejecting consideration of all items during the current legislative session except for those dealing with the budget and creating a sustainable budgeting process benefitting future generations.
