The Nazis, Soviets, Venezuelans, Sandanistas, Cubans, and Pol Pot leaders all referred to their governments as “socialist“.  Alaska’s democrats in 2016 voted to elect a socialist president.  We believe a growing segment of America’s younger generation is unaware of how socialist propaganda and unrealistic promises lead to inevitable misery and eventual collapse of socialist societies.  The death of the United States as we have known it is within the grasp of her enemies, both without and within.  Only a herculean effort, equal to the commitment, sacrifice, and endurance of our founders can, with certainty, overcome the current challenge to our way of life.  -dh

Publisher’s commentary: For over a decade, this energy webpage & massive archive have documented energy-related natural resource issues and threats to their economic contributions underpinning North America’s economy and way of life.

We have especially but not exclusively focused on Alaska and our Canadian neighbors.  Among many related themes, we covered the importance of a stable investment climate (i.e. Government should assure that “a deal is a deal“); the real objective of “climate change activists” is not to protect the environment, but to “kill capitalism”.  And, we commented on intergenerational inequity,  the process whereby this generation both destroyed economic strength while borrowing money in order to selfishly sustain our present greed at the expense of future generations (Note: we also recommend Brad Keithley’s ADN column on the same subject).

The 2013 study below documents Soros family NGO strategies to affect public policy and, in our opinion, is a key tactic for creating, “a new world order”.  Since, 2016, George Soros and, increasingly, his son, Alex, have been instrumental in supporting activities opposed to the election of President Trump and to America’s traditional constitutional foundation.  The Soros strategy and supportive NGO tactics might be contained as violations of law.  If not, they could produce sufficient anarchy to commandeer the energy industry while replacing the government of our constitutional republic with a socialist dictatorship.  Forewarned is forearmed.

Bad Investment: The Philanthropy of George Soros
and the Arab-Israeli Conflict

How Soros-funded Groups Increase Tensions in a Troubled Region

by

May 2013

Executive Summary

George Soros, the Soros family, and the open society Foundation network are among the world’s largest philanthropists, with a major impact on a global scale. This monograph provides a detailed examination of these activities and their effect in the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Based on open-source data, including tax-reporting documents from the givers and recipients, this report also analyzes the role of a little-known and rather secretive branch of the Open Society Foundation – the Open Society Institute, based in Zug, Switzerland. The background for this report is the intensive campaign of delegitimization and political warfare targeting Israel, led by influential nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), under the banner of human rights and similar moral objectives. Soros has been a frequent critic of Israeli government policy and does not consider himself a Zionist, but there is no evidence that he or his family holds any special hostility or opposition to the existence of the state of Israel.

This report will show that their support, and that who have pushed for smaller police budgets and more funds spent on social services.

The release hints at future announcements regarding funding to improve working conditions, especially for workers of color, as labor, racial, and social justice organizations prepare for a national “Strike for Black Lives” July 20.

Soros is a frequent target of right-wing publications, including Breitbart, and a frequent critic of President Donald Trump, who Soros has called a “con man.”

CRUCIAL QUOTE

“This is the time for urgent and bold action to address racial injustice in America. These investments will empower proven leaders in the Black community to reimagine policing, end mass incarceration, and eliminate the barriers to opportunity that have been the source of inequity for too long.”

Alex Soros, deputy chair of the Open Society Foundations and son of George Soros

KEY BACKGROUND

Soros already has used his financial heft to back efforts gaining attention now as protesters push for an end to systemic racism. The Foundations gave $50 million to help the ACLU’s campaign to reduce mass incarceration and last year invested $25 million in multiyear grants to state organizations led by people of color, as well as $15 million to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

But some of that support has made him the subject of numerous unsubstantiated conspiracy theories, including allegations that groups he backed have paid protesters speaking out against racial injustice.

Soros often is described by the right as a “globalist,” a term seen by many as anti-Semitic, and is said to be at the heart of a nebulous global conspiracy.

In January, Soros pledged $1 billion to fund a new university network to tackle the spread of nationalism.
